Glasspar “Works” Racer Restored for Concourse–Like An MGA Kit?

The New Tork Times nods to one of my favorite blogs (Forgotten Fiberglass) in this feature on the Glasspar G2 Ardun race car that’s been recently restored to its original mod Mercury power.

This photo of the car [ripped from the Sept. 1953 issue of Honk magazine] leading the legendary Masten Gregory in his legendary C-Type is my favorite. And check out that MGA-like grill!

I doubt the designers in Abingdon were paying any attention, but then again, the resemblance is pretty strong.

I'm a poor mechanic and general wisenheimer. I love old cars and the stories behind them, true or not.
