The Wires, Session 2

Those little plastic spring clips on just about every wire connector start to feel pretty sharp after the 3,532nd one. Alls I’m sayin’.

Took a run at the main harness this morning, into the afternoon. There wasn’t much left to do. I disconnected the remaining plastic connectors in the engine bay (cut a few wires to the washer pump, etc. I undid the clips holding the loom up, unscrewed a half dozen ground screws, then set about pulling the mess back into the passenger compartment. The rubber grommets took a little screwdriver persuasion but they finally gave way.

Following Tom Shiels’ instructions I left most of the loom intact, removing only the ignition connectors, the box with the instrument panel clips and the transmission controller.

I also took off those white plastic thingies.

Everything else went in the box with the ECU.
